@Cyma - Leo was born in 1924 if I remember correctly. Paul said something about a throwaway line in season eight that indicated Coop was around 200. I haven't checked that yet, but it's probably true.

@StoryGirl83 I remember that throwaway line, but can't recall the episode. But yes, Coop is 200+ years old.

@ Season 8 or season 9 comics? Would definitely remember Phoebe dating a 200 year old Cupid. Wow...that makes him even older than Cole.

@Cyma - Season eight. He (Paul) said that around the time Cupid's Harrow came out. I think what he said was how much he hated that line. I think he wanted to let Coop meet his parents, but because of that line it was impossible.

Yeah I believe Coop was way older than Cole as it stated in Cupid's Harrow. Still don't like him though but oh well!

This issue looks fun. I thought the cat thing was going to be some crazy new power, not a spell, but still excited.

Charmed Season 10 #3 from Charmed Comic Fan Review

Alright this is what I’ve been waiting for people! While I missed the last season where Prue came back to life in someone else’s body, sorry no Shannon Doherty likeness here, and for me this was kind of a learning curve getting back into the show I was waiting for a big arc to really show what the girls are capable of again. Finally we see an ancient artifact and someone with the cojones to use it, activate first and then come after the Halliwell sisters.

Pat has continued to grow as a writer and shows great diversity with his characterization here. He manages to really capture the essence of the folks from the show here I mean from Piper’s worrywart nature to Phoebe’s more in the middle nature and Paige’s more meh life happens why worry just live approach. Granted they all have lives outside being the Charmed Ones but let’s face it with all they have to go through it’s all pretty much magic centered.

Personally after this issue I want to see Pat write a mini-series featuring the boys I mean Cole and Leo are hysterical together in all this though I wouldn’t mind it being a story that helped Leo get back to a more assertive person than his wife’s husband. Paige being a teacher for young students discovering the magical abilities is somewhat interesting but I’m not totally convinced yet she’s a good role model so change my mind Pat!

Now what I did find fascinating involves the cover and the cats I mean hello what an imagination it takes to think up this circumstance that it naturally occurs in this book and in the lives of the characters associated with the Halliwell’s. Seriously mixing two totally different types of homework even by accident could’ve had much more disastrous results instead of the cuteness that happened.

Between the boys and this I would’ve been happy enough but Pat has decreed this wasn’t enough oh no. Coop, yeah Phoebe’s hubby, doesn’t more than face time here but he’s older than Leo so he should be the third in a story with the boys, make it so number one. Regardless with this new high level threat on the horizon he’s coming to do what he can. Once everyone is assembled we learn what the boys learned on their fact finding mission. Which of course with the writing the way it is and Cole’s personality, we all know the girls think too much on those closest to them and not on others out there, proves well fun! Of course the ending to this book is also pretty darn fun and gives the reader a very good look at what’s to come.

I’m really a much bigger fan of this than I thought I’d be. The writing is smart, fun, witty and brings me back to the television programme and while the artwork has a resemblance to the characters it isn’t dead on and I’m kind of enjoying that. It’s unrealistic to expect anyone to recreate someone in detail all the time and it’s easy enough to tell who’s who here so it’s very finely done. On a special not I’ve got to say I loved the effect of Wyatt’s plaid shirt here the colours really stood out and caught the eye in a good way. Backgrounds were pretty good and throughout the book the interiors of houses looked nice and the wallpaper in Aidel’s house especially. There is a little stiffness to the characters but with time that will relax and not feel so wooden.

Overall this is an enjoyable escape from the humdrum of the overly violent and sexualized fare we see all too often today and a great way to continue the franchise!
