I read it! amazing! also- anyone notice in prue's house- her pictures... one looks like it could be the one used for season 8 DVD cover/promo- of piper phoebe and paige (the outlines of the people in the picture at least) and directly behind her- there's another and the figure in the middle has prue's classic black bob haircut!

Okay so here goes my VERY SPOILERISH synopsis and review

Turn back now if you don't want to see it....

    SPOILERS!!!:

The comic opens with a flash-forward of the Charmed Ones fighting a demon known as "the old-one" and they seem to be losing. Flashback three months ago to the Halliwell Manor where all three charmed ones and their families are hanging out at the manor. The doorbell rings and they answer, only to meet a new neighbor with a plateful of pastries. Since they don't trust the new neighbor, they cast a spell on the pastries and uncover that he is a demon. Later that night Piper is talking to Prue on the phone. Prue seems to be going out of her mind with boredom and wants a demon to vanquish. At that moment the door breaks open and Piper is under attack. The comic changes view points right here and is slightly confusing as someone is narrating what they've observed over a 3 month period of the Charmed ones fighting this same individual demon (the Old one). This observer has even taken notice of Prue and Cole and their budding relationship. Cole seems to have found out something but he is not giving the information. Back at Halliwell Manor the Charmed Ones work to destroy Gaxageal once and for all before he invades with an army. This is where the comic picks up with the flashforward from page 1. The Charmed ones manage to vanquish the Old One by separating him from his heart but not before he's taken out each of his minions. Soon after, two demons are revealed to be hiding out in a shack and are the ones that have been observing the Charmed ones in action for months. They conspire to figure out what exactly helps the Charmed ones to cheat death and how they can stop them once and for all. An artifact known as the ancient athame is out there somewhere, and one of the demons knows exactly where to find it. To be continued....

I can already see where this leads into Issue #2. The artwork was so well done and I must say I loved the perspectives used in this one. We see things from different angles and I like that Prue's residence has changed in appearance as well. Overall it was a very good start to a new issue and the dialogue was good. I can't wait for the next one!

The story and the dialogue are pretty good, the dialogue especially is great (Paige is a blast), but honestly the issue doesn't tell you much about what's going on in the sisters's life. All we know about what's new is from a brief conversation between Prue and Piper. All the demon-hunting and the fighting were pretty awesome though, loved the final vanquish!

Great issue! This season will be amazing.. Mystery, darkness, lot of fun.. I liked Billie's "cameo".. They know that one day she will be back so they are trying to keep her in the story.. I'm a bit disappointed about old ones' story.. I thought they were the villains of the first story arc.. Anyway fritz and Valen's story seems very very interesting.. This escaping-death-no-more plot is just amazing and smart!!!

Oh so that's what happens between Phoebe and Cole, she finds out he's in love with Prue...YES! I've been gunning for this couple for a LONG time. It makes sense. Prue is now something like immortal, so her chances of seeing Andy again are slim, plus we know they had a falling out and that Prue hurt Andy. Now Cole is her only companion and Cole is also somewhat immortal, plus we know that back in Season nine Prue and Cole spent a lot of time together and that Cole tried to help Prue when she lost her powers, so there relationship already started a long time before Season 10, Also Prue KNOWS everything that happened with Cole in season four and five, better even than Piper. I know a lot of you hate seeing Cole with anyone but Phoebe, but Phoebe is married and clearly they both have moved in from each other. Cole has been redeemed even in Phoebe's eyes, so there is no "evil" "hate" Cole attitude anymore. Phoebe will probably hate that they're getting together, I imagine her reaction is what all this talk of something happening between them is about, but in the end Phoebe loves Coop, not Cole, and Cole has let Phoebe go and loves Prue now. I am sooo happy that my favorite ship will be canon. Now if only Prue and Cole could have a little boy of their own...or three. Hehe.

No to a prue and cole storyline... i'm not for it. Anyway, it looks like cole has plans of his own in the next issue, which doesn't look good if you ask me. I hope he is not turning to the darkside but it would make the storyline more interesting. Can't wait until the next issue. #teamprue

    Pavel Ana (Sunday, 12 October 2014 15:15)

Prue and Cole together I am also against the idea. It sounds awful and I think
that it will destroy Prue and Phoebe as sisters. I totally hate the idea of course
it is just an opinion. I would like Phoebe and Cole back together but I realize it
is unlikely for that to happen. Anyway season 10 I think that it will be better than
    season 9.

    Julie (Monday, 13 October 2014 01:49)

You know it's unethical for a sibling to date their brother or sisters former spouse. I wouldn't say it's unlikely for Phoebe and Cole to get back together I mean theirs a lot that can still happen in future. Who Knows!

  • #22

    PatShand (Monday, 13 October 2014 04:10)

"You know it's unethical for a sibling to date their brother or sisters former spouse. "

I'm not confirming/denying the Prue+Cole theories (Prole? Crue? PRULE!), but what makes that unethical? I think it's situational.

  • #23

    Marina (Monday, 13 October 2014 09:54)

    @PatShand
I don't know about others, but for me it Prue\Cole sounds like "Leo walked away from Piper & kids and suddenly began to live with Paige."
    It's unnatural.
Prue saw the beginning of their relationship. Seen than Turner sacrificed for the sake of Phoebe.
Felt his love for her younger sister.
And after all this - to meet with him? Live? Fall in love?
    Eeeew!
If I was in a similar situation - I would have said goodbye to my sister.

  • #24

    TomTom (Monday, 13 October 2014 15:56)

Prue and Cole as a couple... that almost sounds like a betrayal of the show and characters. I definitely hope this will not happen.
It would be totally against Prues strong character. Not only she knows that Phobe dearly loved Cole. But she herself almost hated him. The hate was gone a little bit but there was still skepticism and barely faith.
And Prue did not came back to hurt her little sister in such a way.

  • #25

    p3nathan (Monday, 13 October 2014 16:31)

Marina- You're example with Leo would be great if Piper had spent years hating Leo to the point where she would actually deny him death out of spite. It'd be a good example if Piper lost all interest in Leo years a go, got herself a husband and had a bunch of kids with another man and THEN we saw Leo go and live with Paige. And even then, it wouldn't be the same... because Paige is married. Prue and Cole are both single and have been for a bloody long time; if it did happen, which it may not, but if it did, neither of them would owe anyone an explanation. And why should it hurt Phoebe? Am I the only one remembering her little "I thought you were dead and I felt nothing" speech?
You know they intended a story with Cole and Paige in season 5 right? And seriously, The Good, the Bad and the Cursed, tell me there isn't a little tension in that episode between Prue and Cole!

But screw it. I'm shipping Cole and Darryl... Corryl

  • #26

    TomTom (Monday, 13 October 2014 17:30)

But... the fact, that Cole literally kills Phoebes feelings and love for him... this would make it much crazier that Prue falls in love with him. She knows that Cole was an ass at the end. He almost destroyed Phoebes life and feelings for ever. He get her into fear, hate and desperate. To get engaged with the man who hurts Phoebe would be even sader as the aspect she get engaged with him as a normal ex.
Phoebe and Cole never get a real ending. She wasn't physically there when he get vanquished and feels his soul years after that.
Prue isn't a sister, that ignores the fact that her little Phoebe went through hell...

  • #27

    cyma (Monday, 13 October 2014 21:14)

@p3nathan Corry? Haha :-D Besides The Good, the Bad and the Cursed, there was that intense moment where Cole stopped Prue from vengeance killing the Seeker. And the time he saved her from going to jail for murder. And yes I remember Phoebe’s speech about I feel nothing for you. And Cole creating an alternate reality where Paige was dead. So Phoebe suddenly going: OMG! I MADE A MISTAKE! I STILL LOVE COLE! And dumping Coop and whisking her kids away and riding or flying off into the sunset with Cole….uh…nope. I’ll take Prue and Cole over that any day. Especially seeing how repetitive Leo and Piper’s constant break-up and make-up got on the show. I enjoyed Cole and Phoebe on the show(including crazy stalker Cole), but unless we get an issue dealing with a villain changing the past or travelling to an alternate reality where Cole and Phoebe end up together, then I’m fine with seeing Cole/Phoebe again. But in original reality, no I’m over it. I eagerly welcome Crue…or Pole :-D Plus with Cole being…dead and Prue being…immortal or something, it’s hell of a lot interesting. Also it’s not like in the next issue Prue and Cole are going to stare into each other eyes for a few seconds, lunge and kiss each other and rip each other’s clothes off and….oh well you know…have little Nexus babies? :-D I’m guessing the romance will be subtle. Like even they wouldn’t even notice. And even if they do, pretty sure they'll feel guilty and conflicted later on. Hoping I’m right. So POLE!

Well how would you like it if your sibling dated your ex?

  • #29

    Miia (Tuesday, 14 October 2014 00:34)

    And not only ex. Ex-husband!
    I'm against it.

  • #30

    sephjaymes (Tuesday, 14 October 2014 23:23)

I predict the death of a Charmed One is approaching. It makes sense if you think about it. Valen and Fritz just happen to get their hands on the Ancient Athame, which destroys souls, they're bound to kill a Charmed One. Also, the Angel of Death makes an appearance in issue 3. Though, obviously, no Charmed death is permanent, I wouldn't be surprised if it was long-lasting. Paige is the likely candidate in my opinion because according to the prophecy, only one sister can have telekinetic powers. Then, the Original Charmed Ones will reunite and fight to get Paige back. I think it's an interesting theory. Someone's bound to die.

  • #31

    Zoe (Wednesday, 15 October 2014 20:14)

well if someone is bound to die I vote for Coop because most people
dislike him, consider him boring as for prue and cole together it is a horrible
idea, it kills the sister relationship and also Prue as a character if this would
happen it will kill my interest for the comics. if you really want cole with
somebody I say with Phoebe it is his place, they were great together

  • #32

    GC (Thursday, 16 October 2014 05:58)

You realize you lot sound like a bunch of broken hearted jealous teenagers? Oh waaah my sibling is dating my ex, oh no, oh gods. My sister is having sex with someone I had sex with, that's sooooo wrong. Pfft my brother is married to my Ex. My Ex and I also had a very messy breakup, there was a lot of pain and anger there that I carried for years. And you know what? In those years I changed and my ex changed. My Ex went to war and back, I met another man and had a child, by the time my ex came back into my life I was so busy with my new life that I didn't have time to have strong feelings about the fact that he was seeing my brother. Yes in the beginning I was suspicious. I didn't want my brother getting hurt like I was hurt, but I needed to realize that my brother and I are vastly different people, and the situation, their relationship is different. I sat down with my ex a few weeks before he proposed and we talked, more then we had since before our breakup. There was anger, there was tears, and in the end I sat back and realized he was a different man, one who loved my brother dearly, and I wasn't going to stand in the way because of something that happened years ago. So yeah, I'm not in the bandwagon that thinks this is wrong just because Cole had a relationship with Phoebe. Boo how big deal, Prue isn't Phoebe, Cole isn't season 5 Cole anymore. People change, peon grow, Prue isn't season 3 Prue anymore either, she's changed. You can see it in their scenes in season 9 that she she has no grudge against Cole. She appreciates his help, she accepts his help. They friggin hold hands before Cole sends her back to life.

  • #33

    Julie (Thursday, 16 October 2014 15:21)

That's nice GC but it doesn't always work with everyone.

  • #34

    Miia (Thursday, 16 October 2014 15:43)

And I bet that no one tried to kill someone or was obsessed by evil in your case... :D

  • #35

    Mihai (Thursday, 16 October 2014 20:37)

Well indeed it is very nice what GC is saying maybe he is an exception of the
rule I don't know, good for him that he is not like the rest of us. Now I join
the bunch of broken hearted jealous teenagers as he calls us and I say it
is a bad idea Cole and Prue together. First it is about respect if my brother
would date my ex girlfriend I would find it very disrespectful towards me and
believe me I would never ever want to see him again. It is a weird situation, yes
characters have changed but it wouldn't be the Prue that I've known and loved
if she would start a romance with her sister's ex. Seriously what credibility
would she have if she would do that?

  • #36

    GC (Friday, 17 October 2014 05:00)

I fail to see how being with Cole calls her credibility into question. She doesn't have to prove anything to anyone, and she doesn't owe anyone anything, especially not Phoebe. Neither does Cole for that matter. Phoebe moved on, Cole deserves to move on too. Neither of them are alive neither of them are human. Let's not forget that Prue can't leave the Nexus at this point in time either, so really it's a relationship of circumstance. Cole is literally the only person in her life right now. For god's sake doesn't she deserve love and companionship?. Phoebe moved on, end of story.

  • #37

    lilchi721 (Friday, 17 October 2014 18:54)

You gotta take in account what the rest of the family would think about this. You gonna have alot of complications and awkward moments if this happens.

  • #38

    Pavel Ana (Friday, 17 October 2014 20:23)

Lichi721 has a great point imagine a family reunion I mean it would be really
weird. Maybe Cole can sit between Phoebe and Prue. Indeed she deserves to
move on, to be happy, to have kids but not with Cole. And I bet that all the family
would be thrilled about this. I hate the idea of Prue and Cole together, it is a
really bad idea and as Zoe says I think many people would have a bad reaction
to this and maybe they choose not to buy the comic. I would do that if Prue and
    Cole will have a romance.

  • #39

    Henry (Friday, 17 October 2014 21:20)

I don't understand all this drama... In my opinion Prue and Cole are supposed to be together since the beginning. I think writers wanted them together since season 3.. I always had this feeling.. Phoebe doesn't love Cole. She has Coop. And Prue and Cole are spending lot of time together. They are so close. I think it would be interesting. It would be a great story of love from hate. Lot of potential. Anyway we have to wait and see. I trust Pat and I know he will give to our favourite characters what they deserve.

  • #40

    Stan (Friday, 17 October 2014 23:24)

As far as I understand from what people are saying nobody doubted that Pat
will do the right thing. I've got to say that I violently dislike the idea of Prue
and Cole together. I hate it more than I hate Coop, I mean compared to this
Coop seems better. Anyway I doubt that we will see Prue and Cole together
or Phoebe and Cole together although I would like to see that but I am realistic
that is not going to happen.

  • #41

    Julie (Saturday, 18 October 2014 18:26)

@ Stan I think Phoebe and Cole do have realistic shot at being together someday. I mean there's alot of reasons why ex spouses remarry again such as Time heals all wounds. Time can certainly help heal a lot of things and, in many cases it may heal both former spouses' hearts and forget about all the dislikes and remember all the good times. Second The Grass wasn't Greener: as time passes, former spouses may realize that the grass wasn't greener on the other side. They then begin to stop dwelling on the negative things about their ex's and start reflecting on the positive things which can bring them closer together. Third reason is personal growth. Sometimes two people feel the need to grow a bit more on their own before being fully committed to a marriage. After spending time apart and growing a bit more, the couple maybe ready to start being in a partnership again. The fourth thing is forgiveness. Forgiveness always comes with time. If the two ex's worked on themselves while apart and their in a better place, they may be able to forgive one another of their wrong doings. Now forgiving and getting back together are different things. However, if you feel like giving it another shot again as a couple, forgiveness can play a major role in two people getting remarried again. The final thing is the Love is still strong. While former spouses may dislike each other, deep down deep down they may still love each other. Over time the dislike can disappear and the love they had with each other comes back to the forefront. Former spouses shouldn't ignore their feelings if they think the relationship can work again. Love can be a powerful tool in bringing two people back together again.

Guess we just have to stay tuned and see what occurs... i'm sure something happens where prue will be able to visit her sisters when she wants... worst things have happened Like prue being mad at phoebe because she thought phoebe came on to her then fiance, roger... so lets see how this go but i'm still against the idea... the story is good so far and prues alive!!! Thats what matters most to me. ☺☺

    Miia (Monday, 20 October 2014 12:18)

    One thing:
I think the sparks between Cole and Prue can be explained by the fact that Julian and Shannen were dating each other at this time in real life. Would be explain why this sparks appear in the middle and end of this season and weren't seen from the beginning.
And yeah... "The Good, the Bad and the Cursed" was directed by Shannen so she could arrange this special scenes...

finally got the first issue, and overall i was very impressed, my only criticism was that i dont like how short prues hair is, seems to me it would be better if she had long hair like her sisters, then we could at least see her as the one from the future in witch trial, or was it morality bites, i can never remember which is which, the one where phoebe burned at the stake. that being said i didnt particuarly like phoebes hair in season six either
but other than that very good job!

  • #46

    p3nathan (Monday, 27 October 2014 01:17)

On the subject of hair, I love Phoebe with dark blonde hair.
